The study of telecommunications is not only fascination; but it also provide the route to an exciting and rewarding career. For example, qualified telecommunications engineers have driven developments in the areas such as the internet and mobile telephones in recent years the growth of telecommunications over the last ten years has been phenomenal and this expansion is set to continue for several decades. Computer networks, radio links and optical fiber systems are all being developed and now from the basis for global communications.
The Telecommunications program has been designed to provide students with the skills and abilities which are required by telecommunication companies. As telecommunication system are mainly based on electronic techniques, our programmed deals with electronic as well as telecommunication engineering. One important feature is the support for practical work during all years of the program to allow students to gain Valuable ‘hand-on’ experience. This practical work ranges from basic, theoretical experiments through work on advanced, modern telecommunication systems and includes basic electronics, microprocessor, digital electronics and advance electronics. The practical work greatly depends on students interest, devotion and contribution. During the final year of the course there is also an opportunity for students to work independently on a major project in the telecommunication field. This project is supervised by an external project coordinator.
Teaching Learning & Assessment
The course is delivered through lectures seminars and practical laboratory sessions. Self-directed study is also important and will include private and public sector organizations.
There are diversified career opportunities for highly qualified engineering in the telecommunication industry, including private and public sector organizations and armed forces. Because of the global nature of telecommunications there are also career opportunities in other European countries and beyond. This program has much in common with the program in Electronic Engineering, hence graduates have a great deal of flexibility and could easily make application for posts with electronic companies as well as telecommunication companies.
There are many employment opportunities for those with good qualifications in the field. Telecommunication graduates receive employment opportunities in all areas, including .
